Notable statistics: Not a single player on 7rominence recorded more than one MVP last season. They've lost their last seven competitive matches. The squad's captain Fishibaron recorded one of the league's worst team records last season with 2-11 (Wins-Losses) in matches he played.
Comments: 7rominence back for their second season. I haven't seen much active practicing, but I haven't been that active either. I think 7rominence has weakend slightly with losses of Purple, rzrskater, High Voltage and Arbatross as Fishibaron hasn't been able to find good replacements. Tom Collins was great when he was in his WZ prime, but I don't know how good he's now. Tag's also a decent pickup. Fishibaron is clearly the driving force behind the squad and I'd expect 7rom to dissolve if he ever goes inactive. 7rominence can beat squads like BLaCK STaR and SS CRIPS this season and to tell you the truth, if sixteen squads make the playoffs, 7rom might also make it past regular season. Hopefully they'll stay active and use this season to improve their game. If I spectated a 7rom match, I'd keep a close eye on an innocent decoy, he's quite active and usually delivers well.

Comments: Many of BLaCK STaR's players have played in Pro. But what can you expect from a bunch of WZ veterans in AML? With players like Messin Around, Traveler, Vipyr and lxv, the squad can field a strong lineup, but activity will play a key role. If everything goes smoothly, BLaCK STaR might make the playoffs, but I really don't expect them to do that. Still, if sixteen squads make the playoffs this season, that'd mean two squads from both divisions eliminated after regular season and I believe BLaCK STaR should be able to pull that off.

Notable statistics: Won AML two seasons back. The score against SS CRIPS in preseason was actually 12-1 with a slot converted. Played (and lost) the only overtime match in last season's playoffs.
Comments: Always a controversial squad to have around, BlackNike have returned for another season of AML. As everyone, of course, remembers, BlackNike won the AML championship in season 7 and then went up to IML for a season with a little less success. They then came back to AML for last season and, as mentioned above, lost in the second playoff round to Tweaked in a thrilling overtime match with a 6-7 score. Player activity will play an extremely vital role in BlackNike's success this season. Their roster's full of big talent with players like SonyRed, the white rose, agentgeorge, cojones!! and so on. Who'll show for matches and who'll be inactive for months is what'll decide BlackNike's final standing. I'd be suprised to see them out of the playoff picture though.

Notable statistics: Last season all the squad's MVPs were also MCPs at least once except for ChronicFlash, who recorded two MVPs and Pretty Hate Machine, who was one of the topics of the big "- or no -" -discussion before the season began.
Comments: A squad that has achieved a lot in a long AML run. They've had quite a revamp on the squad's roster, but the core remains the same. Morphine's captaining the squad with unbelievable stamina and he has gotten his share of new recruits for this season. They lost a bunch of pilots too, though. Morphine told me that Pretty Hate Machine has been inactive again and that's not a good thing, as he's a very good playmaker and an important starter. ChronicFlash is always a player who you can count on either killing things or dying out quickly. We've seen numerous MVPs and numerous chokes from good old CF and you really can't expect an old dog to learn any new tricks.. with some weaker opponents, Blitzed will probably aim for a slightly better season than on season 9, so we can expect a good playoff run too. Don't expect morphine to celebrate a championship in a couple of months, though.

Comments: Damn_Yankees are making a comeback to league. Actually, shouldn't the name be DAMN_Yankees? Eh.. last time they were around, they won the AML championship as Unforeseen. Then again, that was a completely different squad which Miner pretty much started. When they won the championship, the only "actual yankees" left were Agile, Kriptonics, Zeromus and possibly one or two of the infamous Newbies. Well, back to the present. Zombie's a great player with IML experience from BlackDragon and Riptide's a decent player. I still fail to understand how they beat Krieger in preseason, but maybe the Yankees'll impress me when the season begins. I'd expect them to win their share of matches, but not advance -very- far in to the playoffs.

Comments: What to expect from a brand-new squad? Always a tough call. Dedication were quite good in preseason, but their victory over Undermined with a 12-7 score does leave a lot to desire for. The squad's clearly full of individual talent with seasoned league veterans like Tenet, Nightingale and Illuminus. I know that they went through preseason undefeated, but I just can't imagine Dedication playing in the AML final this season. We'll have to wait and see how well they'll play.

Comments: Aragorn, Blacky, Doobie, eternal, Kurtz and MD. The players worth mentioning on the resurrected Disavowed. Disavowed was one of the best squads in league two seasons back and then they choked against StarFire Elite with Deist and Alperri crushing any hopes of the AML championship good old Sephiroso had. They went up to IML and then took a season off, just to return to AML for season 10. Not a single win in preseason, but don't let that deceive you. If Disavowed actually shows for matches and plays for real, they can become a real contestant for this season's championship. I'd expect them to reach the playoffs with ease.

Notable statistics: Uhh, ElementalForces have 19 new players in a 22 man roster. They noshowed four times in a row to finish season nine, but are now back with a more active roster.
Comments: Last season wasn't very pretty for ElementalForces. They've improved for this season, but unfortunately it's by recruiting seasoned league players instead of improving as a squad. Well, it's one way of advancing in the tables.. freakmonger and Purple have joined the squad and although neither of them would be a star player in pretty much any other squad, they'll be important players for ElementalForces. I think Bullets is Bullets'n'Bombs who was on Exodus and briefly on No Data. He's a good player. Warchild! was also on No Data if I recall correctly. And one shouldn't forget about TommyPullMyFinger either.. EF is going to beat some of the weaker squads with it's new recruits, but will lose to any stronger ones. A playoff spot is a possibility.

Notable statistics: Epik won nine matches in regular season of season 9. Their MVPs were spread to only three players (|F|E|A|R four, |E|A|R three, Plareplane two).
Comments: Epik. Back once more for another fun AML season. They beat ReDS and Disavowed in preseason and lost to OldShift. For this season Epik seems to have a slightly improved roster from last season. They have lost some decent players, but were able to replace them. Epik is usually an easy squad to predict, as they're very consistent in both losing to bigger squads and beating smaller ones. Their standing is always decided on how they fare against the squads of their own level. Sometimes they've made the playoffs, sometimes they haven't. The outcome for Epik's season depends greatly on the amount of squads that get in to the playoffs. Oh yeah.. Inno, Fear and Plareplane make an excellent starting trio.

Notable statistics: Even with all the talk about Krieger winning the AML championship, they managed to lose to the medicore Damn_Yankees in preseason.
Comments: Krieger's a squad that's full of league experience in all levels of Premier. A recent addition was Axe from Hawks and, well, you can check the roster for yourself. They've got a good deal of players who could start on most of the AML squads, so this squad'll of course be a tough competitor for the AML title this season. Many squads like this have fallen apart in the middle of the season in the past, like Spies for example. We'll have to wait a few months and see how Krieger'll do.

Comments: With a slightly thinner roster, Liquid Inc.'s making a comeback for their...hmm, fourth AML season? Not quite sure, but they've been around for quite a long time in this season's standards. They've gone from an average squad from a couple of seasons back to one of the top squads in the league. The squad's lost some second string players and recruited some to broaden their bench. Still, no one essential left. Rane! has been an important player for Liquid Inc. for a long time and will probably be the carrying force of their offensive. Faid's an excellent league player with Pro experience and will be an important piece of the LI lineup if he's active. I might be wrong, but I'd guess Pensionion is Pension and he recorded a 4:0 MVP against Undermined in preseason to kick off the season in good fashion. Liquid Inc. will definitely be one of the top squads in AML and will be looking for a good playoff run too.

Comments: "OldShift lost jaakko" seems to be the most common phrase said in predictions and rankings lately. OldShift did lose jaakko, but they've recruited big too. Tin Cup used to be one of the best remaining javelin pilots in league and Genocide has a lot of Pro benching experience from Assassins. OldShift has a decent roster and can win some big games. They'll be above the middle-level of AML on season 10.

Comments: Well, we've got ourselves a squad with a whole lot of skill and league experience here. Everyone knows nivaG, if not as a player, then as the creator of the league map everyone loves so much. Sure, you could have Xenite make new tiles to it, but it was still nivaG's map. ReDS was originally a very competitive war zone squad and their current roster's full of very good wz players from the past. PINOYPOWER will most likely be the squad's leading player. It's hard to say how well ReDS'll do in AML. They beat OldShift in preseason, but lost to Epik. Slightly two-folded, I'd say.

Notable statistics: Secret and Blitzed were the squads that were most struck by the new rule of "no special characters in nicknames". Both squads had two players with special characters. Secret won only one of their last five matches last season.
Comments: As I look at Secret's this season's roster I can't help thinking that some of these names must be aliases. We've got a player named "SwEeT pIeCe Of AsS" in here and he's actually a decent player. FrAgRaNt BeAvEr might very well be Who?, since he's the captain of the squad. Secret had it's roster spread greatly between different leagues last season and they're now pretty much the only squad with a team in two leagues along with Starseed. The squad has 10 players in IML and 15 in AML. What's Secret's season going to look like in AML? Well, like with so many other squads, activity plays a vital role. Secret will depend greatly on the performance of single players, although they are traditionally one of the squads with one of the best teamworks. Nerve Impulse is clearly the squad's key player and his activity plays a big role in Secret's season plans. Secret should be a playoff squad, but they just don't have the depth to make a real championship run.

Comments: A squad that's real hard to predict. They were 3-8 last season with some noshows and they recorded a 0-3 preseason. At least they showed against Unit and showed three against BlackNike. CRIPS will have a hard time surviving it past this season with their small roster and we can expect on the squad showing only two or three for matches a couple of times. Don't expect to see CRIPS around much when it's playoff time.

Comments: I took the liberty of deciding that StarseedAM is actually StarseedTR with a slight name change. My theory is supported by the fact that StarseedAM has all the players who were on StarseedTR before and StarseedTR's roster is empty. Ahem, on with the actual comments.. Starseed. We all know the squad from Pro. They were in AML three seasons back and had some success, but were eliminated in playoff round one. That squad now plays Pro and this looks like a completely different squad with just the same squadname, a training squad, one might say. I recognize some of the players from war zone.. wolfsbane was on Intelli in Pro and will be a key player if he's active. Caerbannog, TaNderNaM and 1shotATglory are decent players too. The squad has to be able to field the very best four it has to be able to win matches this season. They might snatch a victory here and there, but I don't really expect them to win the season 10 championship. Still, maybe they'll improve as the season progresses.. the Starseed in Pro has.

Comments: We have the worst preseason squad right here. Ok, the squad has got some players with decent league experience, wasn't Divine on the good old Eblana Space Police -squad? They didn't show much to write home about during preseason, but I wouldn't count the squad out of the playoff race just yet. So far they probably haven't shown 100% of their actual gameplay, so we'll have to wait and see how the squad can play together and many matches they can win. A playoff spot's quite possible.

Comments: The last of 20 squad analysis (I did Warlords earlier) and I'm quite exhausted. Unit was 3-0 in preseason, but I wouldn't say that they've been really tested yet. Secret, SS CRIPS and 7rominence are decent squads, but they're nothing like the squads Unit'll have to face this season in AML. The squad has some seasoned veteran league players, but we'll just have to wait and see how well they'll play together this season. Notable statistics: Tarnished Silver was the only player in the whole league to score more than one MVP during preseason. Warlords recorded the best K/D in AML preseason with a +26 K/D differential.
Comments: Warlords 3-0 in preseason. I certainly didn't see that coming. The squad is one of the oldest surviving in AML alongside Blitzed, Epik and StarFire Elite. If my memory serves me correctly, Warlords won United league season one years ago and after that they've had a little less success. They used to be one of the 'above average' squads in AML, but for the past couple of seasons they've had a hard time reaching the playoffs. This season should be quite different if their preseason indicates how they'll play. They've got some quality recruits for this season, like Addison, Dalinx and North Star, who played for enterprize many years back. These new pilots will help Tarnished Silver and Gazelle fight for a high standing in Rome division.
